Band: Satsuma Toss, featuring Brittany Grimes and Yeah, Probably
Date: Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m.
Venue: Fairhope Brewing Company, 914 Nichols Ave., fairhopebrewing.com
Before the madness of Thanksgiving overwhelms the area, Fairhope Brewing will be holding a unique pre-party. The warm weather in recent years has brought forth a bumper crop of Satsuma oranges around Mobile Bay. Fairhope Brewing will be holding this philanthropic event to raise money and food for Feeding the Gulf Coast. For $5 you can purchase an orange for this competition, which will incorporate cornhole.
Two local musical acts will provide the soundtrack to the Satsuma Toss. Singer-songwriter Brittany Grimes will start the musical offerings. Grimes specializes is a bright, acoustic-based pop country sound that is refreshing alternative in the local scene. Nappie Award winners Yeah, Probably will serve as the headliners for this charitable event. In addition to an eclectic mix of soul and rhythm and blues favorites, Yeah, Probably has created an original collection of seductive soul and R&B songs that has made them one of the area’s most popular bands.
