Nine students were arrested and suspended following a fight Thursday at the Mobile County Training School.
Mobile Police Department spokesman Terrance Perkins said a fight broke out at the school at around 2 p.m. when students were being moved outside following a power outage in the Plateau community. Perkins said some of the students were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, but he didn’t have any details on the injuries.
Perkins said the students were each charged with disorderly conduct.
Mobile County Public School System spokesperson Nancy Pierce said at least seven other students may have been involved and were sent home until an investigation can be conducted by the system.
