The incorporation of live looping and EDM has overtaken the jam world, but some bands continue to give audiences spontaneous jam sessions that provide a unique experience with each performance. Little Raine Band, coming to the Cedar Street Social Club this Friday, is one such band.
Little Raine promises to give its Azalea City audience a one-of-a-kind performance featuring eclectic sounds accented by an unrestricted, improvisational attitude. Members Davis Little, Daniel Raine, Justin Sledge and Isaiah Smith combined their influences to create what the group describes as “progressive rock fusion.”
Little Raine Band pulls sounds from across the musical spectrum and shapes them into epic jam anthems that are evocative of the Disco Biscuits’ early work. The band’s sonic persona has earned them a set at Sweetwater 420 Fest as well as opening spots for such bands as EOTO, The Revivalists and Perpetual Groove.
Little Raine Band will perform cuts from “Dreamwalker,” their latest album. With a hypnotic thread weaving through each track, the band couldn’t have chosen a more apt title. From rock to jazz, Little Raine’s sophomore effort showcases a band with an extensive musical palette from which gorgeous musical masterpieces are created.
