Keith Urban’s Ripcord World Tour will be the first of three major concerts at The Wharf for fans of modern country. Up-and-comer Maren Morris, who will start the evening, has a story that proves diligence in the music world can be rewarding. This singer-songwriter released her debut album, “Walk On,” in 2005 followed by “Maren” and “Live Wire.” When she wasn’t busy with her solo work, Morris was penning songs for Kelly Clarkson (“Second Win”) and Tim McGraw (“Last Turn Home”). She’s currently touring in support of her latest release on Columbia Nashville, “Hero,” which contains the breakout gold record “My Church.”

Brett Eldredge follows. A Midwest country artist who made himself known nationally in 2013 with “Bring You Back,” his debut album that peaked at No. 2 on the U.S. Country chart and introduced such hits as “Don’t Ya” and “Beat of the Music.” Eldredge will treat The Wharf audience to tracks from his 2015 release, “Illinois.”

Four-time Grammy winner Keith Urban will bring the evening to a climax. This Aussie country artist is celebrating the release of his ninth studio album, “Ripcord.” Its premiere single, “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16,” has already earned Urban praise from critics as well as listeners. If previous shows on this tour serve as a preview, Urban fans can expect new material along with plenty of crowd favorites.
