As University of South Alabama Jaguars Head Football Coach Joey Jones, his coaching staff and players prepare for the 2014 Raycom Media Camellia Bowl in Montgomery, President Tony Waldrop, along with members of the University’s Board of Trustees and the executive administration, will help in the fight against hunger by volunteering at the Montgomery Area Food Bank on today.

The USA volunteers, along with University mascot Southpaw, will help prepare food for distribution at the warehouse in Montgomery.

“I am pleased that the University of South Alabama not only has the opportunity to play in our first bowl game,” Waldrop said, “but also that we have the opportunity to continue our USA mission of service to the community by giving our time to help prepare food for families in need during the holiday season.”

Earlier this year, during the first USA National Alumni Association’s “JaguarsCare” day of service event, USA faculty, staff, alumni and students volunteered and prepared food for distribution at the Mobile Bay Area Food Bank.
