This lineup boasts some of the finest underground entertainment the Southeast has to offer. Naked Intruder will energize the crowd with their unbridled, unfiltered punk rock. Fronted by the infamous and enigmatic Deke Purple, Naked Intruder’s music molds local inspiration and pure vehemence. Their set is definitely not for the faint at heart.
Mobile’s long reigning kings of punk will also be making an appearance. In a scene where bands come and go, Hibachi Stranglers have probably been together longer than any original band in the Azalea City. Judging from their catchy (and danceable) sounds, their longevity is no surprise.
Traditionally, Fat Possum Records is known for signing blues acts, but they have also been known for exposing the world to some impressive rock acts as well. Fat Possum introduced the world to Bass Drum of Death. Since then, the band’s grunged-out garage rock has been heard on video games such as “Grand Theft Auto V” and “MLB 2K” as well as movies such as “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.” Currently, Bass Drum of Death is touring in support of their latest effort “Rip This” on the Innovative Leisure label.
