The Mobile punk scene of the past and present will collide with Alabama Music Box serving as ground zero. Once again, the iconic Vomit Spots will be reuniting for an evening of classic Azalea City punk sounds. Formed in the bowels of the now-defunct Spring Hill College station WTOH, Vomit Spots reigned supreme in the local underground through the ’80s and ’90s. This group spawned unforgettable tunes such as “Dude, I Didn’t Know” and “Booger Snot,” which attracted a dedicated local following that still exists.
New-school punk rock outfit The Handsome Scoundrels will be lending support. Over the years, this band has maintained a busy tour schedule that has taken them across the nation and into foreign territories. Along the way, The Handsome Scoundrels have been introducing new crowds to its latest album, “Ooh, La La.” This band’s bright, high-energy punk sounds should be a crowd-pleaser.
Tokyo Coyote completes this triple shot of madness. Hailing from “the planet Coyotti in Defur system,” this enigmatic band’s lineup includes Tuck Dancer (vocals/bass), Cactus King (guitar/moog) and Skins McGillicutty (drums/samples). Judging from online snippets of live footage, Tokyo Coyote will bring a ballsy swagger of heavy stoner rock to the mix.
