With Hangout Fest 2015 (May 15-17) just a couple of weeks away, Gulf Shores is preparing to set the stage for thousands to enjoy its diverse lineup and beachfront southern hospitality. Recently, the festival released its daily schedule online. With the short window between now and then, some festival-goers might want to go ahead and lay out a game-plan for the weekend.
Among the early acts on the festival’s final day will be Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, who should earn their spot on many people’s list of bands to experience. As a solo artist in the U.K., Turner crafted his own brand of folk-punk that has found worldwide appeal. But with his band behind him, his acoustic foundation grows into a gargantuan sound laced with overtones from his days in the U.K. post-hardcore scene.
Tickets for the festival and the Thursday night pre-party are on sale now at the Hangout Fest website, and VIP and travel packages are still available. However, the Beach Club travel package option is sold out. While the pre-party is a separate, ticketed event for those with general admission passes, it’s included with VIP passes.
