Original country music is a rare commodity in the Mobile area, so many local country fans were understandably sad when Wes Loper left the area. Loper established his reputation in Mobile through solo, duo and full-band performances. His Gulf Coast style of country earned him a healthy local following.
Loper eventually followed in the footsteps of many country hopefuls and decided to give Nashville a try, but he’s always kept home close to his heart. Loper spends most of the year in the Volunteer State, but when summer comes, he returns to the Gulf Coast to spend time with local fans and his family. This promising country up-and-comer makes the most of every visit, performing live shows along the Coast.
Loper has been playing the Nashville music game admirably. While he has the occasional “downtown” gig, he mainly sticks to the venues surrounding Music Row. He’s also gotten into the publishing side of things, writing songs with such notables as Jim McCormick (Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan) and Dan Couch (Kip Moore).
