Holy Guacamole! Did you do Cinco de Mayo right-o? If so, you are still wondering if you ate the worm and why you found tortilla chips in strange places. Very strange places indeed! Don’t worry, no one really cares what you do. You just think they do. So put your sombrero back on and get back out there. There are more good times to be had!
But before we continue fiesta-ing, we need to get the latest reports from the spies.
So, let’s get to it!
Naked and not afraid
A big contingent of my Port City spies headed to New Orleans last week for the 50th Annual Jazz & Heritage Festival. On Thursday, the spies who ventured to catch the musical offerings of Samantha Fish, Anders Osborne, Dumpstaphunk, Widespread Panic and others said the day was going as expected. The music was as great as the food! Hello Crawfish Monica! And even though it was a little hot and crowded, a nice breeze occasionally brought some relief.
However, this breeze apparently did not cool off one “gentleman” enough, as the man took off all of his clothes to watch Widespread Panic. And we mean all of them. My spies wondered if he had SPF-ed his junk. Perhaps it did not matter, as the man was quickly escorted out by police, though not before photos of him in all of his naked glory made the rounds on social media. Apparently he seemed to be a little out of his mind. This is your brain on drugs, kids! Any questions?
We hear he must have made it out of jail somehow, because rumor has it he showed back up later that night at the Howlin’ Wolf. No word if he kept his clothes on there. Let’s hope so? Or not? You decide!
Stokes delivers another stellar performance
Grand Bay resident and Moss Point native Rod Stokes performed as part of the Top 13 on Monday night’s episode of “The Voice” on NBC. Stokes, who is on Kelly Clarkson’s team, sang the Percy Sledge classic, “When a Man Loves a Woman.” The Top 7 contestants with the most votes will move on to the next round. The bottom three vote-getters will be immediately eliminated and the remaining three will compete again for a chance at a save.
At press time, we did not know the results, but we are proud of you either way, Rod!
Well kids, that’s all I got this week. Just remember, whether rain or shine, dramatic or scandalous or some plain ol’ festival wiener lovin’, I will be there. Ciao!
