The People’s Room of Mobile will be featuring a songwriter who has poured his life into his songs, whether he was performing them or not. Scott Sean White will be holding an intimate performance featuring the songs from his debut album “Call It Even.”
For years, White worked as a songwriter and producer behind the scenes in Dallas. As far as performing onstage, White earned money performing covers and slipped in an original song whenever he could. These originals pulled from a cavalcade of dark memories from a childhood riddled with domestic abuse and substance abuse that plagued his home. Eventually, the inevitable pull to Nashville coaxed White to make the move.
When COVID-19 closed the nation, White saw an opportunity to finally record some of the many original songs that he has written over the years with “Call It Even” serving as the end-result. This debut album features 10 heartfelt country tracks that White uses as an undeniable exercise in personal reflection. While he pulls inspiration from the chaotic events from his childhood home, White weaves these situations into peaceful, beautiful country tracks.
With so much real life experience filling White’s music, his cozy performance at The People’s Room of Mobile will be a chance to take his audience into the past life that kindled his songwriting.
