Whole Foods Market will open its first location in the Port City at end the end of month, but the company is also inviting locals to get a sneak peek at the store before it’s grand opening on Sept. 22.
As part of the tours scheduled for Sept. 18-19, customers will get a first-hand look at a rush of activity as Whole Foods Market team members make their final sprint to get the store ready for opening day.
Guests will learn about the many features unique to the Mobile location, but also get inside knowledge on grand opening deals, special events and the locally sourced products set to hit shelves at the new location at 3968 Airport Boulevard.Participants can taste their way through each department and learn about Whole Foods Market’s initiatives to provide healthy and fresh food with an emphasis on animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
Participating tour groups will also receive special coupons redeemable on opening day!
“Our new store will offer an unparalleled selection of high-quality natural and organic foods, along with a unique-to-Whole Foods Market Mobile food venue and community gathering space,” said Ethan Price, Team Leader at Whole Foods Market Mobile. “This store will be a destination for food and beverage lovers and healthy eating advocates, offering the best selection of ingredients for the home cooking, alongside a variety of ready-to-eat meal options.”
While the tours available on Sept. 18 and 19 are free, a suggested donation of five dollars will be accepted at the door to benefit the Bay Area Food Bank. Online Registration at http://mobile.wholefoodsrsvp.com/ is also required to secure a 45-minute tour slot between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
While it’s Mobile first experience with the country’s leading natural and organic food retailer, it will be the second Whole Foods Market to open in Alabama when the 35,000-square-foot facility opens for regular business on Sept. 22.
