For many of us, it’s hard to marry creative pursuits and business acumen. One seems fraught with idealism while the other feels associated with a realm most artists find tedious at best. However, if you want to make your passion a singular, self-supporting pursuit, today’s world nearly requires you apply business principles.
The Mobile Arts Council sees this picture and problem for all its pitfalls and they’re offering help. In this evening workshop, instructors Erica Hunter and Carlisha Bagsby will offer their expertise to help artists of any discipline establish themselves as a brand. From promotion, to development and marketing, they’ve got answers. All you have to do is ask.
Tickets to this event are $20 each, or $15 for MAC members and the deadline for enrollment is June 20.
Tickets are available at BrownPaperTickets.com and the MAC offices. To obtain the password for the member price, call 251-432-9796, ext. 8000.
